Why we built Carespective
Aged care workforce education and compliance often runs on spreadsheets, paper checklists and disconnected systems with manual reporting. That’s not a criticism of the people doing the work; they persevere with tenacity. It’s a reflection of the tools currently available.
We’re here to say that there is a better way, which improves the experience and outcomes for everyone involved in aged care.
Gaby has spent her career working in the aged care sector, specialising in quality through education & training, achieving a high standard of care and compliance. Carespective was born out of her idea that people in Quality and Training roles could realise the full potential of their team without manual and tedious work. That aged care providers could achieve a high standard of compliance with real time data and a proactive approach. She shared this idea and vision with her husband John.
John and Abhinav have worked together since 2006, building innovative systems and applications for companies all over the world. They know that the best software platforms are built in close collaboration with people who are on the ground, who have first hand knowledge and lived experience of the problem, with a strong desire to develop a real solution. They also know that the best outcomes are built by small, nimble and highly skilful teams that love what they do and are motivated by seeing their work make a real difference.
A quiet chat led to clarity. Between us we had what we needed: decades building software products from idea to scale, careers spent building quality software for complex environments, and twenty years on the ground running education and compliance at the facility level.
We decided to put our effort into a problem worth solving.
We believe that aged care providers need modern systems that reduce administrative burden. We recognise that when aged care providers are overwhelmed by manual systems and reactive compliance processes, it impacts the organisation’s ability to focus on quality care, workforce capability and resident outcomes.
Behind every competency, compliance record and training requirement is a resident relying on safe, capable and compassionate care.
Carespective is the system of record for workforce excellence and compliance in aged care providers, with workflows to support home care and NDIS providers. One modern platform for management of training, competency assessments, toolbox talks and automated pre-employment checks. Always audit-ready with real time data. Your quality care and compliance partner, built for the workforce Strengthened Quality Standards.
We’re live with the first iteration of Carespective. We’re building momentum and are working with a small group of founding providers, building and iterating with them.
If you work in aged care and any of this sounds familiar, we’d love to hear from you.
